Before I start of with this song I just think I should tell you ... NEVER EVER EVER fall into something without knowing what your getting into.
Which brings me to this song, "Oh pretty carrie underwood in this cute music video talking about her prince charming who basically left her stranded while having affairs with other women." That...that right there is what I think most people think when they listen to this song.
Sure, you got the main structure of it, but do you know the meaning or even the hurt and pain she wrote into this song? Maybe its made up, we never know the true story behind it. But she puts us in a position where all we can see is a picture of her "husband" with this other woman, and basically showing no fear for what his "wife" would think.
Carrie is the type of writer who puts us in the position or the meaning of the story line. She makes us feel like we are right there next to her experiencing what she is telling. This, makes her the amazing artist she is today. But sometimes do we realize where most artists get their inspiration from? ....Themselves.
So, lets say this song were true, Carrie went through this personally? Yeah, I guess. One thing about the song is though, that we can all take it and say, "Wow, Carrie is famous, I'm not. My husband/boyfriend was cheating on me. what do i do? " Now that is the stupid response. I'm not saying listen to the song and don't rejoice along with it, I mean i love this song. Its great! But sometimes, we all need to realize the crap (yes i said crap) that is out there in our world. How much sin has overtaken us to do stupid things like cheating.
So think next time you cheat.....
Love,
Natalie <3
I've attached her video right here...Enjoy! :)
